Tatlo ba ang baba mo?
Pati kuko mo ba e may bilbil?
Relate to Bubay and her life, loves, and laughs in an environment that cannot help but see her as inferior. Rejoice with her in her success with her conquers. Through her, believe that beauty indeed begins from the inside.
BEGINS ha. Ayoko kasing sabihing beauty is what is inside.
There were different groups of girls who would make fun of me, bumabait lang ‘pag kinokopyahan ako (mga buset). ‘Pag may nangyayaring kalokohan sa eskwela, ako ang madalas tinuturo. I was once accused of stealing from students by picking the pockets of their skirts that were left in our classroom while they were playing sports at the quadrangle. I never got to defend myself or prove them wrong. Ansaket chong. To this day, tandang-tanda ko pa ang mga mukha at pangalan ng mga high school bullies ‘ko.
If each time I went home from school really sad, my parents and siblings didn’t remind me how beautiful I was, hindi ako naka recover.
Bubay hopes to let the world know that the physical self is always beautiful. That we should live striving to have a good soul so that this given does not dim.
Bubay hopes to bring confidence to her co-vital statistics measurements, but one that does not bring with it, pride and hatred.
So whether you are horizontally-challenged, or have friends and beloveds who are so, do read this series of humor-mongering comics. Give them as gifts to those who seem to forget that they are beautiful.
Kaya laging tandaan, ikaw ay maganda. Given na ‘yan. God-given 🙂
Basa na mga kaBUBAYan!
