About the book:
The historical developments in Cebu right before and after the war provide a broad background for the specific experiences of a man whose life reflects his times. Such times were fertile ground for developing writing in both creative and journalistic fields. The selected writings by Greg Mercado, collected under the section Reader that follow the first section on his life, are basic texts that show his development from fiction writer to journalist to media man.
