Edith Tiempo, National Artist for Literature has a writing career than spans six decades. Her range of genres extends from poetry to fiction, both long and short, to criticism. She has published two poetry books, a short story collection and four novels. She co-founded the Silliman National Writers Workshop with her husband, Dr Edilberto K. Tiempo in 1962 and have guided and inspired many writers.
