About the book:
A Sketchbook on Philippine Garden Orchids showcases fifty colorful illustrations of popular and notable orchid varieties recommended for use in tropical gardens and Philippine-inspired landscapes. The accompanying drawings attempt to capture these orchids’ beauty as subjects in art.
The author presents us with fifty garden-suitable species, just a fraction of the 1,000-plus orchids present in the Philippines rainforests but a good start to learn more about the lesser-known Philippine orchids. This book has an artistic approach that increases awareness of our living treasures, our native flora.
